Voters were asked to select a captain for each divisional team, which is what the public will be voting on through Dec. 23.

They also went a step further and picked the remaining players to fill out the 11-man team for each of the four divisions. Writers were assigned to specific divisions and each named six forwards, three defensemen and two goalies to represent that division. Ties were broken by placing a player from an unrepresented team on the ballot, when possible, or by a re-vote.
